Our Vision
We are a church that connects with people from all generations.
We nurture all people’s relationship with God, as revealed in Jesus, the Word made flesh. We connect with people of different generations, because we value being a faith community in which all ages understand, learn from and serve each other and God. Christian spiritual growth is important to us. We recognize and support the need to explore and deepen our relationship with God, including acting on our faith to improve our community and the world. We are welcoming to all who want to join us in our journey. |
Guiding Scripture Passage: Acts 2:39
“For the promise [of the Spirit] is for you, and for your children, and all who are far off, everyone who God invites.”
Our Intention
We as a church will provide a faith-nurturing environment where we can:

Key Components of Our Vision
Worship oriented
We will be rooted in worshipping God together by gathering on Sunday morning, and at other times and places, to help people connect with God.
Participatory
We will encourage engagement of all ages in worship, decision-making, service, fellowship and learning.
Flexible
We will emphasize experiencing God and growing a practice of faith, rather than requiring “right belief” or “right lifestyle” before we approach people or they approach us.
Spiritual Deepening
We will enable a variety of spiritual practises (e.g. meditation, lectio divina, journaling, prayer walking, others) to support individuals exploring and deepening their relationship with God. We wish to be a place for spiritual renewal; a spiritual home.
Relational
We will support the growth of strong and effective inter-personal relationships. Caring for each other is more important as a way of building faith, than insistence on strict tradition and orthodoxy. First we belong and then we believe. We are inclusive; there is no pre-qualification of any kind.
Acting on our Faith
We will help others, serving our community and the world, and we will contribute to those projects and endeavors that build faith and intergenerational relationships.
