Sunday mornings online will come to you through an online meeting platform called Zoom. It's easy - really!! You need a computer, laptop, cell phone or tablet with a camera and microphone.  You click on the picture below to go to the start page to enter our Zoom prayer room.  Some of you will already have the Zoom application, others who don't can look down the start page and click on the option to enter the meeting through your browser.  Once you are in the prayer room, if you don't automatically have visual you may need to turn on your camera - click on the camera icon on the page and click "start your camera".  Do the same with the microphone if you don't have sound.  See you online.

Our in-person worship services will resume when the emergency in lifted.

At Salisbury United Church, our main worship experience takes place on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am. Children's Church starts about 15 minutes into the service.   At Salisbury it is our intention to create worship experiences that are participatory, relational, flexible and spiritually deepening for all ages.  We welcome everyone who wants to connect with us in community with God.

Participatory

At Salisbury we aim to involve everyone in  worship. Different people of different ages take turns reading, singing and praying.  We use projection during our service, so that together we can all read prayer responses, sing hymns and reflect visually.  We also try to capture a range of moods and spiritual experiences in worship over the course of the year.

Flexible

Worship follows a standard format from week to week, but with enough variation to keep things interesting.  We emphasize seeking to experience God and growing in faith, rather than people having to follow strict tradition all the time. We like to experience a mix of the familiar and new each time we gather for worship.

Relational

In our experience, relationships and caring for each other are more important as a way of building faith, than insistence on having the "right" sets of beliefs or the "right" kinds of spiritual credentials. We are inclusive; there is no pre-qualification of any kind in order for you to participate in worship at Salisbury. We make this clear at the start of worship each Sunday when offer a welcome handshake to everyone after we sing the first hymn.

Spiritually Deepening

Ideally, worship helps us all grow through the seasons of our lives. At Salisbury, we emphasize different "seasons" of worship over the course of a year.  These season come with names like Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, Pentecost, Creation Time.  These seasons mirror the kinds of spiritual ebbs and flows we all can experience in our own lives.  Over the course of a year, or the course of a lifetime, we all grow and change.

Worship anchors us in community with God.
